J. David Sandridge, DDS
Dr. Sandridge is aTexas native from Sherman. He graduated from Baylor University in Waco, followed by Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Immediately after graduation in 1985, he came to Plano and opened his solo private practice.
Dr. Sandridge is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and actively attends regional and national meetings for his dental growth and development. Dr. Sandridge considers dental education to be an ongoing process which enables him to provide his patients with the latest dental expertise and advancements.
In 2012, Dr. Sandridge won the “Readers Choice Award” for Best Cosmetic Dentist in North Texas, and has been recognized several times by the Consumers’ Research Council of America in it’s “America’s Top Dentists” award.
Dr. Sandridge and his wife Terri are proud parents of three daughters: Lesley and Mycah, who are graduates of the University of Arkansas and Carly, who currently is an undergraduate at the University of Arkansas. Dr. Sandridge and his family are members of Christ United Methodist Church in Plano, and in his spare time enjoys being with his family, jogging, bicycling, golfing and fishing.
Deborah J. Thomas, DDS
Dr. Thomas is a native of Fort Washington, MD. In search of warmer weather and southern hospitality, she moved to Texas about twenty five years ago to attend Texas A&M University.
After deciding to make Texas her permanent home, Dr. Thomas moved to Dallas to attend Baylor College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Thomas joined the WestPark team of dentists in 2000.
In addition to caring for the patients in her practice, at WestPark Dental, Dr. Thomas also makes "house calls" to a local senior living facility in Plano to assist the residents with their dental needs if they are not able to drive to the office.
In Dr. Thomas' free time, she enjoys watching and cheering for her kids soccer, volleyball and basketball teams, as well as bike riding, swimming and hanging out with their Chocolate Lab, Audrey and Belgian Malinois puppy, Gizmo. Dr. Thomas and her husband, Doug, live in Allen and they have two children: Abigail (9), Logan (6).
Born and raised in Texas, Ashley was first introduced to dentistry by her mom, who worked in the Orthodontic field for over 10 years. Ashley received her RDA from the University of Texas, San Antonio Health and Science Center in December of 2011. Ashley also brings to our office 6 years of Nitrous Certification by the State Board of Texas and a plethora of front office skills. In her free time, Ashley enjoys participating in local 5ks and exploring coffee/dessert shops. Ashley also loves to bake. Sweets are her specialty! She is also crazy about her 4-year-old boxer named Bailey whom she fondly calls "Monkey".
Patti has been a practicing dental hygienist for 30 years and has been with WestPark Dental Associates for almost 9 years . She is a graduate of University of Louisiana of Monroe (NLU) and is a resident of Plano, Texas. Patti is married to husband, Kevin and they have two boys, ages 19 and 13. Between sports, competitive power lifting and playing the guitar, the family enjoys golfing and flying airplanes. One of Patti's personal passions is reinforcing good dental hygiene habits to the elderly and hopes one day to expand her schedule to include working in local nursing homes to provide patients who are unable to travel, proper dental hygiene care.
Lisa is a 1987 graduate of Texas Woman’s University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She worked part-time as a dental assistant while in college, which gave her confirmation that she wanted to go into the dental field to help patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. She has been a hygienist for 32 years, with 22 of those years at WestPark Dental (’93-’99 then 2003-present). Obviously she loves the doctors and team at WestPark. Lisa and her husband, Steve, celebrated 30 years of marriage last October. They have 3 grown children, a daughter-in-law, a 2 year old grandaughter, and a grandson due June 2020. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with family, involvement in their church “Church Eleven32,” being outdoors, biking, and the beach (especially Barbados where her mom is from!)
RDA / Financial Coordinator
Jenny grew up in the Plano-Frisco area and discovered her love of dentistry in 1985, while attending Texas Women’s University. After college, she continued to pursue her career in dentistry as a successful Registered Dental Assistant. In 2000, Jenny started her own dental assisting school in Richardson, Texas. The school was a licensed proprietary school for Registered Dental Assistants. In 2001, Jenny joined the Dallas County Dental Assistants Society, became a board member and served 8 years. Jenny is married to Gordon Gohmert and they have two little Dachshunds, named Coco and Brandy, who are loved beyond measure and rule their household. In Jenny’s free time she burns off her energy at Rowhouse Gym through extreme rowing. She also loves expressing her talented creative side, by knitting, and painting beautiful canvas art work.
Kathy was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and was trained as a RN, with a BSN from University of Tulsa. She has been married to husband, David, for 30 years. They have one son, Trenton, who graduated from Auburn University in May 2019, and now lives and works in Washington D.C.. Kathy, although experienced as a Pediatric nurse, chose to be a stay at home Mom and was actively involved in PTA and volunteer work for many years. After recently becoming an empty nester, Kathy decided to go back to work part time and much to our good fortune, joined our WestPark dental team. Kathy is a people person and has a love of bible study and fit camp with her church family. Kathy and David moved to Texas in 2003 and are proud to call Texas home. According to Kathy, she and David go by the Texas motto, "we weren't born here, but we got here as soon as we could!"
William Nicholson, DDS
Dr. Nicholson, one of the original founders and owners of WestPark Dental Associates, enjoyed many years at WPD building his practice alongside of co-owner, Dr. Sandridge. He was successful in that endeavor and today continues to be loved by all with whom he forged solid and valuable relationships with during his tenure. Upon retiring from patient care, Dr. Nicholson has moved behind the scenes to keep the infrastructure of WPD running. He is enjoying being an employee of WPD taking care of their Computers, Compressors, and Air Conditioners etc. If it is Mechanical or Technology based Dr. Nicholson is the one who keeps it running. He is also enjoying retirement life with his wife Val and his two cats and says, “it doesn't get any better than that.”
